No More Stolen Childhoods
Show up May 15, 2026

St. Catharine’s Court House.
59 Church St. | Courtroom 5
To the boys whose childhoods were lost at Robert Land Academy, and to all the other children who were sexually exploited and abused by Johnathan Jeffrey Ahlstedt — we see you. As he appears in court for his pre-sentencing hearing, we ask the public to show up and be a supportive voice. This moment is about truth, accountability, and justice for the child victims. We need to send a strong message to the judge that there is great public interest in this case, and to not show Ahlstedt any leniency

Make the Sex Offender Registry Public
The protection of children and vulnerable persons is a fundamental responsibility of the federal government. Protect the kids, not the criminals.

Mission Statement:
End Child Trafficking & Exploitation Now
Moms Resist exists to protect our most vulnerable — children — and the time to act is now. Every moment we wait puts them at risk.
Sentencing must change!

Key Objectives
- Review of the Amber Alert system’s strict criteria.
- Call to amend Canadian laws to publicly identify child predators so that public has access to the National Sex Offender Registry to enhance community safety.
- Put child predators behind bars: Strengthen mandatory minimum penalties of imprisonment for predators who offend (including possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material), and keep them imprisoned without bail to protect communities and prevent further public harm.
- Human trafficking charges should be applied to all adult predators found with our missing children.
- Demand criminal background checks for all teachers and staff at private schools.
We’re just getting started. Bookmark this space! We’ve connected with organizations across Canada to collaborate and provide resources to build a strong voice.
